Back then in the late 90s when I was in secondary school, I remember being so embarrassed for being among those who were being sent home from school for not being able to pay my school fees in due time.  I can imagine how even much more embarrassing the situation must have been for my parents whom though were both lecturers, sometimes could not afford to pay my fees in due time. Education is one of the most important legacies we can give to our children. Apart from acquiring knowledge, they can acquire life skills to solve problems and meet needs, earn a living and be relevant to society. In school, our children get to meet people, socialize and build lasting relationships and connections that can influence the quality of their lives forever.
